im british and i want to work and live in sweden, help me

im british and i want to work and live in sweden, help me!!?
I'm 23 and I have a daughter in sweden, I'm not together with her mum anymore! She is only 2 months old and I don't want to miss any more of her life. I'm in the army at the moment and don't have much other experience another than military. How easy would it be to get a place and a job in sweden(stockholm)??? Ps I don't speak a word of swedish!!

I don't know anything at all about Swedish immigration laws, but if I wanted to find out, I'd go to the official government website for Sweden and find a link to "immigration".

If you're a UK citizen, you don't need a work permit, but you do need to get a residence certificate within 3 months of arriving in Sweden, from the Migration Board: http://www.migrationsverket.se/info/start_en.html Getting a job is harder, but if you don't mind menial tasks, you have more options. Here's a link to the Swedish job centre site with information in English about working in Sweden: http://www.arbetsformedlingen.se/Globalmeny/Other-languages/Do-you-want-to-work-in-Sweden.html You can get away with speaking English only for quite some time, but you will have to learn Swedish eventually. Getting accommodation in Stockholm is probably the hardest part. I don't live there and have very little experience. Finding someone to share a flat with is probably as good a start as any. Why not try the British Expats site? In their Discussion forum you might find a few Brits already living there who can share their experience. http://britishexpats.com/ It's great that you want to be part of your daughter's life while she's growing up and I hope you are able to get some support from her mum even if you're no longer an item. I wish you the best of luck.

From what I could see of your profile I am guessing you are Egpytian. I don't believe you will be able to move to any of the Scandinavian countries for work. Denmark and Sweden are both part of the EU, Norway is not, but you would have to apply for a Schengen Visa even to visit them. Applying for a work permit is impossible without an existing job offer in one of the countries. You have to find the position first, otherwise they will not even consider your application. And there is no immigration for unskilled workers. I have attached the Arabic pages of the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration that contains all the information on the subject.

New cell phone that will work well in Estonia and Sweden

New cell phone that will work well in Estonia and Sweden?
I'm currently out of contract and would like to get a new phone (actually two). We're also visited Europe this summer and it would be nice if we had a good option to be able to use our phones there. But I don't anticipate regular international travel. What do I need to look for in a phone to make this happen smoothly? and affordably?

Hi, I would recommend a quadband GSM mobile phone. That will ensure that it will work on any GSM network worldwide. You can also get a prepaid international sim card that can be used whenever you travel and you can keep the same number wherever you are. For best prices on bot these things, I recommend going to http://www.bigtimewireless.com for an unlocked mobile phone and go to http://www.bigtimewireless.com/Prepaid-Sim-Cards-s/3480.htm for a prepaid sim card. Also, they ship worldwide, and they ship fast. I hope this helps. Good luck!

any quadband phone will be fine, but im not sure how to go about getting service there. I would just use my cell phone sparingly.

The phone will definitely work but it depends on your service plan
