My son and granddaughter live in Sweden. I think you should have no trouble finding work there. Here are some lists of sources for you to choose from: http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=sweden+community+service+work&prssweb=Search&ei=UTF-8&fr=sfp&x=wrt http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=sweden+community+service+work&btnG=Google+Search

If you're an EU citizen already you don't need a work permit to get a job you can just apply, i think.

If your country is part of the EU, then you don't need a work visa. If you are from a country outside the EU, then you must go back to your country and apply from there. It takes an average of 6 months to a year. You need to apply through "Migrationsverket" (migrationsverket.se).

I ran a search for jobs in Karlstad, Sweden and there appeared to be quite a few. See below for the results./

At the moment, there are 169 jobs announced at the Job Centre. Only a couple require no previous experience. Most of them also require you to be fluent in Swedish. Remember that your course administrators may have rules or recommendations on how many hours per week you are allowed to work, and the Migration Board may deny you a student visa if you work too much. You are allowed to work part time as a student, but you'll have to ask them how many hours/week they will accept. Your student visa is primarily for studying, so if you work too much, they will deport you or deny you a an extension of your current visa.
