You will find a lot of the things you need to know at this website: (its in English) http://www.sweden.se/templates/cs/Frontpage.aspx?id=1898 In Sweden they learn English in school (mandatory) from the age of 8 or 9 and most people speak fluent English. You'll also find that even some commercial or ads are in English in Sweden. You will get around just fine with English but you'll need to speak the language to get a decent job. Finding a low-key job as a dishwasher, bartender, cleaner etc shouldn't be to hard. Take a Swedish for Immigrants (SFI) course at the nearest school, courses are free of charge.
